Director of Channel Development
Central Registry Solutions
: Joe Alagna is the Director of Channel Development for Central Registry Solutions, a partnership between Network Solutions and CentralNic Ltd. Central Registry Solutions was created to assist companies who wish to take advantage of the next revolution in online naming. First there were vanity 800 numbers, then dot.com domains. The next revolution will be the ability of companies to create what people see to the right of the dot.

Since 2001, as General Manager, North American Markets, for CentralNic, Ltd., he has helped CentralNic transform a small group of UK based resellers into an international sales channel including some of the largest domain name registrars in the world including Network Solutions. CentralNic has become the largest private sub-domain name registry in the world and created a world-wide B2B brand marketing domain names based on US.COM, UK.COM, .LA and many others.

Joe's management experience spans some 30 years. He was a National Accounts Manager for AT&T Wireless whose team worked closely with some of AT&T's largest national accounts including Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Countrywide, Boeing, and Kinkos. While at AT&T, he created one of the first web sites devoted to the wireless industry. Through that experience and subsequent projects Joe has become an expert in domain names and online marketing.

Joe has been teaching Online Marketing for the SBA since 2004 and often has addressed audiences at meetings of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). He has written several articles published at Circle ID (an online industry trade publication) and works with online brand management companies including Mark Monitor, Verisign's Digital Brand Management Solutions (Subsequently Melbourne IT) and CSC Corporate Brand Managers.

In 2008, ICANN announced at their Paris meeting that they would soon be accepting applications from independent entities to create their own new Top Level Domain Names (TLDs). In 2009, Joe was instrumental in the creation of Central Registry Solutions(TM), a joint venture between CentralNic and Network Solutions designed to assist brands in creating and managing their own new Top Level Domains (TLDs).
